Juffa’s message to UPNG & Unitech…

juffaj

Dear Unitech and UPNG students,

Since only you have had the guts to stand up for your future [not much can be said about DWU, PAU and the others who most probably will pray their way out of this mess] Gary Juffa has thrown his support behind you!  If anybody understands what you want, it is Juffa who protested against land mobilization in 1993.

This is his message to you…

TAKING PNG BACK FROM THE RICHLY CORRUPT AND CORRUPTED RICH

I fully support the actions of our students…be the voice of the voiceless…represent your families tribes clans ad families…for what good is a nation if it is not ours? What good is an economy if it is not ours?

What good is a future and a destiny if it is not ours?

I marched with my brothers and sisters from all over PNG to remove a sinister land mobilization policy imposed by the World Bank through weak politicians in 1993.

To this day I have never regretted that decision to stand firm for my clan, my people and my country. In fact it was one of the proudest moments in my life. Solidarity for PNG was high. I was proud to see a sea of Papua New Guineans from all over our great nation. We had one common interest: PROTECT PNG.

And we did.

My young leaders of tomorrow, you may choose mediocre existence and be safe, but as a voice for your people, tribe, clan, family you are expected to fight injustice and marginalization NOT fail them!

To accept a selfish agenda to educate oneself only is to ignore all those who have contributed in someway to you getting the opportunities you now enjoy.

Your plight will be to subscribe to a recolonization effort where our people are but displaced miserable and despairing consumers without land, culture and future.

This is not LIVING this is mere existence!

Rise up young leaders and take back PNG!

Take it back from the richly corrupt and the corrupted rich and their puppet and muppet politicians who are hell bent on selling this great nation and its resources and its dignity while assaulting the constitution!

  7. Garry Juffa,

    Man of the People!

We badly need a Leader like YOU and those like minded!

We’ve lost almost everything to foreigners and PNG crooks in high offices who call themselves leaders, yet they steal us and give our traditional grounds to outsiders who rape it dry and leave it barren, not giving a damn about the suffering, the livleyhood and above all the very existence of the custodians of these Sacred Lands!!!!

    With You Garry Juffa!

    1. GJ big thank you for encouranging the students. It is very same to see all our MP’s on the Government side are very quiet and doing nothing about what is happening in our country. Truely they are pack of puppets just enjoying their comfort zone and forget all about the very own people who voted them in. These corupt MP’s their comfort zone’s are numbered and sooner they are going to fall in pit that doesnt have the ending. Sooner there’s gonna be change of Goverment so I pray Gerry Jufa and the opposition do no recruit the puppets in the formation of new Government. GJ keep on blowing your whistle the game is still on… Until bring back PNG and stabilise it.

  11. Definitely the way to Go, we need many more like minded people to stand together as on party without any personal interest nor compromise so when come elections there will be a clear landslide for governmentship. Too many leaders now a days only think about their self interest and its benefits without considering the silent majority. Juffa, Basil and others need to work together so to see a clear management of this great nation. To much to many controversy from this current government regime has caused a lot of dismay and lost of investors confidence with the decline of our economy thus incurring more debts that we hardly can’t comprehend simply by selling all our resources without consent of the future generations. They think of themselves and don’t give shit to the next ad they would die and not suffer with those who would face the crises to come. Though we have seen infrastructure taking place as we read n see in the media yet that cannot be used as excuses to say that this government is doing what others cannot do; bullshit, it is the mandated pregoretive of any government elect to deliver what is expected of them thus serving the people of this great nation. Such cannot be used as a blanket to cover all the other unscurpolous deals and actions that are happening in broad daylight. It is therefore time for like minded leaders to stand side Juffa and others now or never.

    Cheers.

  14. Thank you Mr. Juffa for the truly inspirational speech. But I, as a parent, feel that the working class men and women of PNG MUST NOT use the students to do our dirty work. Where are the workers union? They should be taking the lead. The students have done fine to start of the protests, the unions should now take over.
