Let this be a message to the Members of Parliament who remain mute over the issues faced by the country.
Let this be a message to the Members of Parliament who remain blind to the large placards and banners expressing our anger.
If you do not speak out and represent our views, then you should not be there occupying the offices that belong to the People of Papua New Guinea.
If you choose to sing praises to a government that feeds your greed and lust for power, then you should not return in 2017.
We want you to represent our views and aspirations . We want you to speak out and be honest about the difficulties we are facing as a country.
We make no apologies for accepting this role as a political voice for the people. It is a power entrusted to us as students. As temporary as it may seem, we are still powerful. Our strength comes from the people we represent.
You must realize that your power comes from the people. You can’t always buy votes and win the people’s favour by “service delivery” that comes in the form of boats, 10-seaters & money.
We don’t have the wealth and the cargo that you have.
BUT we have our unity, our pride and our love for our country. We are criticized because we are young.
We are called dreamers because we dream of a future where people are happy and proud of their government. We dream of a future where the Prime Minister respect the rule of law and upholds the moral integrity of our office.
To you MPs, our message is simple: Listen to your people. Nogat, bai mipla rausim yupla!
