VICTORY: COURT CASE FROM WEWAK ARREST DISMISSED | Post Office Blog

sepik sumatin

We got news of a major victory for Sepik Students who were arrested and subsequently bailed out by market mamas, youths and students.

The District court in Wewak has dismissed the case brought against 18 students and a few prominent Wewak residents.

The students have announced that there will be a massive awareness meeting in Wewak tomorrow.

This news was passed on to the general student body as the government tries to destabilize the student movement.

In Port Moresby, UPNG President, Kenneth Rapa and the SRC won another significant battle   in court to allow the students to remain on campus.

The University Senate in Port Moresby has now announced that classes will resume. It is a deliberate move to offer students a way out and cause our movement to break up.
